This is an original painting on frosted plexiglass. It is part of a series of color studies of the many forms of traditional acanthus leaf motifs in classical architecture. This particularly delicate and wispy acanthus leaf is attributed to the Louis XIV style.

The frosted plexiglass ground is translucent, bouncing light through and around the painting. The piece sits on a small, white shelf (included) with a groove carved into it. The painting can also sit on a shelf.
