I haven’t been this ready to go out shopping in YEARS. Oh retail: our lovely brick-and-mortar shops where we dip into someone else’s vision of an experience that will fill us with desire. Is Covid the death knell of experiential shopping? I say no! It’s going to take some time, but we crave companionship and physicality beyond our homes. The retail experience will become more important than ever.
This light is from the Victorian-era Arcade Mall in Cleveland, Ohio. Opened in 1890, it is the oldest surviving mall in the United States. Look it up! It’s GORGEOUS! Like Los Angeles’ Bradbury building times 1000.
This is an original acrylic and metal leaf painting on paper.
