A tall abstract painting of a street light painted by Teale Hatheway and hanging in a gallery. The colors are blue, lavender, citron green and white, punctuated with orange. The idea was to create contemporary paintings of historic architecture. Titled "Seclusion."

Mixed media on frosted acrylic.
88″ x 15″. 2016.

This is an original acrylic and metal leaf painting on frosted plexiglass. It was composed using hand cut stencils of elements of street lights and was sprayed with aerosol paint. The gilded lantern reflects light and gives the impression the light is “turned on.”

These pieces are tall and narrow, fitting perfectly between door ways and hanging with dramatic effect in clusters. They can be suspended at any height from a ceiling and can be used to create privacy screens, columns and sculptural installations.
